The Story of Garnì Rosa
It all began in the 1960s
Grandfather Aldo ran his sawmill near Lake Ledro. In the evening, after a long day’s work, he would return to the warmth of his home, where his wife Virginia and their four daughters—Mirella, Luciana, Ivana, and Lorenza—awaited him by the hearth. Four little girls… and what role could they possibly have in a sawmill? At the time, many believed it was no place for women.

The birth of ALbergo Rosa
But Aldo had other plans. Ever the visionary, he decided to build something new—something in tune with his values and his family’s future. On land owned by his wife Virginia, he brought his dream to life: a hotel, restaurant, and bar that would provide work for his daughters and welcome visitors to Lake Ledro. And so, Albergo Rosa was born—a business perfectly suited to the girls, who would grow up playing active roles in running it, alongside their mother Virginia and sisters Mirella, Luciana, and Ivana.
As the years passed, the family grew. The youngest daughter, Nicoletta, completed the family circle. The girls grew up with the hotel, sharing dreams, challenges, and successes.
Just before the year 2000, the management of Albergo Rosa passed to Aunt Lorenza, who oversaw a major renovation. She ensured every room had its own private bathroom and all the comforts that modern guests expect. Tireless and always smiling, Lorenza ran the hotel with care and dedication, always putting guest satisfaction first.

The story continues...
In 2024, Garnì Rosa entered a new chapter under the care of grandson Alex and his wife Francesca, supported by Nicoletta—Alex’s mother—who continues to pass on the family’s tradition of warm hospitality.
Although Lorenza passed on the reins, she remains a constant presence—an anchor and guiding force for the entire Garnì Rosa team.
A business that has evolved over the decades, yet stayed true to its roots: family spirit and heartfelt hospitality have always been—and still are—at its core.
